Combined Cr-Al oxide coating delivers ultra-low oxidation rate in air at 1000 °C; far superior to Inconel 600 / 601 against carburization and high-temperature sulfidation (H₂S / SO₂ flue gas).

Superior High-Temperature Creep & Thermal Fatigue Resistance
Dual solid-solution strengthening by Co & Mo plus γ' precipitation hardening; resists deformation and cracking under cyclic thermal shock and long-term high-temperature loading.

Balanced Wet & Dry Corrosion Performance
- Stable in high-temperature flue gas, carburizing & sulfiding environments;
- Resistant to nitric acid, phosphoric acid, chloride media at ambient & moderate temperatures; high resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
- Good Formability & Weldability
Suitable for hot/cold rolling, forging and stamping. Matching filler metal: ERNiCrCoMo-1 (2.4675). Excellent TIG/MIG welding performance; no post-weld heat treatment required to retain high-temperature mechanical properties.

7. Heat Treatment (Standard Delivery Condition)
Standard supply state: Solution annealing at 1175°C ±10°C, followed by rapid air cooling or water quenching.
Purpose: Dissolve carbides and precipitates to obtain single-phase austenite, balancing ductility and high-temperature strength.
Low-temperature aging is prohibited, as brittle phases will precipitate and drastically reduce high-temperature ductility.
8. Comparison with Similar Alloys
- UNS N06600 (Inconel 600): No Co/Mo; poor high-temperature creep performance, limited service below 800°C
- UNS N06601: Low Mo, no Co; good oxidation resistance but insufficient high-temperature strength
- Haynes 230 (UNS N06230): No Co/Al; inferior oxidation and creep properties vs N06617
- UNS N06617: Balanced high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and sulfidation resistance; preferred nickel alloy for service above 1000°C
